Music is an integral part of most wedding ceremonies, especially those involving church services.
Across many denominations there are many differences in the hyms used (or allowed), the music played and when it's played. Our guide points you in the right direction but we always recommend discussing your music preferences with whoever ir responsible for performing your ceremony.
In most Christian church weddings the formula is similar. You will need music for:
- Prelude
- Processional (Entrance of the bride)
- Signing of the register
- Communion (may not be required outside of a Catholic ceremony)
- Hymns
- Recessional (Exit)
Our suggestions are mostly "traditional" wedding selections, You may wish to have something more modern, in which case check with your priest, minister or other celebrant.
